Assistant ChiefRevel Oliver

Assistant Chief Revel Oliver brings more than 30 years of fire-service experience to the Scott County Fire Department. He began serving at age 16 as a volunteer with the Stamping Ground Fire Department and has since served with departments in Franklin County, Georgetown, and Scott County in volunteer, career, and leadership roles. Oliver retired from the Georgetown Fire Department as a battalion chief in 2022 before returning to the fire service with SCFD. Before his promotion to Assistant Chief, he served as SCFD’s Battalion Chief of Training, overseeing the training of 23 new firefighters across three recruit classes since 2023 as well as continuing training for department personnel. As Assistant Chief, he supports department-wide leadership, oversees SCFD’s technical rescue committees, and works to strengthen the department for the community and its members.
